How does the audio connection work?
Audio is transmitted using a robust Bluetooth 4.2 APTX low latency connection from your Bluetooth enabled device to the Sound Helm APHIX audio unit.
Navigation and volume is controlled using the buttons on the included helmet mounted control unit. Clicking the +/- buttons will adjust the volume, holding the +/- buttons will skip or rewind songs. Why
How do the APHIX Pods mount to a helmet?
The APHIX Pods are designed with helmet fitment and installation in mind. Flexible pods conform to varying helmet geometries and specialized mount tape holds the unit in place for as long as you want. If you should want to transfer helmets the adhesive can be removed, and a new adhesive strip will provide a mount as fresh as new. Check out our accessories page for additional adhesive strips.

Where did the Sound Helm APHIX come from?
Where do you think the Sound Helm APHIX came from?
The inspiration for the final (and 9th design) came while waiting for the water jug at the well to fill. While I was watching the water fill I downloaded an AutoDesk sketching app and drew this up. The design of the APHIX was created. It was organically conceived and sculpted from an aerodynamic perspective. How do you think it will look on your helmet? Looks are important, but they are trivial when considering the audio experience. I invite you to find out.
